Target Audience:
Strength & conditioning and endurance coaches, track & field coaches, sports physiotherapists, athletic trainers and sports medicine physicians.
Course Objectives:
The objective of this workshop is to effectively integrate research and practice.
The focus of this workshop will be equipping coaches with a better understanding of:
1) Why training intensity distributions like “80-20” actually work across many sports
2) What are we really managing and optimizing when we prescribe training from day to day
3) How to use different tools in a synergistic way for effective training monitoring
4) What the strengths and weaknesses of different wearable technologies are, and why this is important for coaches and athletes when using these tools
